Fire will cause disruption to trains to and from London Euston today

Press Release   •   Sep 15, 2017 13:33 BST

Harrow fire expected to disrupt train services to and from Euston today

Passengers are advised to check before starting their journeys today. A fire at a commercial property in Harrow means mainline train services cannot currently run between Watford Junction and London Euston.

Owing to a fire in a commercial property next to the railway line near Harrow, train services between Watford Junction and London Euston are not running. Passengers wanting to travel on the West Coast Main Line are urged to check with their train operator or before travelling as disruption and cancellations are to be expected throughout the day.

A spokesman for London Midland said "While  the emergency services are dealing with the fire it simply isn't possible to run trains through the area. The fire closed the mainline around 0030 this morning. As this is a key time for getting trains into position for the start of services disruption is likely for most of the day."

London Midland is also reminding passengers delayed by 30 minutes or more to claim compensation. Details can be found on the company's website at .
